A Contemporary Art Gallery in the Heart of North Devon.
Featuring the work of Ted Humble-Smith
Hidden within the peaceful hamlet of North Buckland, just a few minutes from the beaches of Croyde and the dramatic North Devon coastline, The Garden Gallery is a place to slow down, look closely, and experience art inspired by the natural world.
Housed in a beautifully converted stable block beside the working studio of artist Ted Humble-Smith, the gallery showcases an evolving collection of photography, sculpture, relief casting and printmaking. Every piece reflects a fascination with texture, light and the subtle beauty found in the landscapes that surround us.
Whether you're an art collector, a curious visitor, or simply exploring North Devon, The Garden Gallery offers an intimate and personal experience unlike a traditional commercial gallery.
Inspired by Nature
From natural decay and tidal patterns to ancient stone and native flora, the North Devon landscape provides endless inspiration. Through photography, sculptural works and direct prints taken from natural materials, each collection celebrates the textures and rhythms of the natural world.
The gallery changes throughout the year as new work is created, making every visit a little different. A theme currently being explored investigates the visualisation of natures sounds.
The Garden Gallery is located in the centre of North Buckland, a quiet rural hamlet between Braunton, Croyde and Georgeham.
Because the gallery sits alongside a working studio, visitors are encouraged to get in touch before travelling to confirm opening times. This also allows time to enjoy the work at your own pace and, where possible, meet the artist behind the collection.
Whether you're visiting after a day on the coast or seeking something a little off the beaten track, we'd love to welcome you.
